Reconciliation Week 2026 offered a meaningful opportunity for the Knox community to engage thoughtfully with culture, history and Country, and to reflect on our shared responsibility in advancing reconciliation.

Throughout the week, students and staff participated in a range of purposeful activities. On Tuesday, our First Nations students attended the Ku-ring-gai Council Sorry Day event; Thursday’s Assembly was enriched by cultural dance performances from our First Nations boys, thoughtfully prepared in partnership with cultural educator Josh Sly, who also addressed the School.
Our 1st teams proudly wore their Indigenous jerseys across the weekend’s fixtures, with performances continuing prior to Friday evening Football, Saturday’s Rugby Gala Day and at the Boarders’ Back to Country Day on Sunday.
The Boarding community also contributed to the week through the creation of a reflective short film on reconciliation, capturing shared perspectives and commitments for the future.

"Our biggest encouragement is to really get involved,” said Charley (Year 12), Head Prefect of Wellbeing. "Talk to new people, contribute to discussions, and make the most out of every opportunity that comes your way.”
