Knox Grammar School has marked NAIDOC Week with a series of events to celebrate and recognise importance of indigenous culture in our community.
The week began with an Acknowledgement of Country, smoking ceremony and plaque unveiling ceremony held at the new Boarders' Terrace.
The new plaque, created by Uncle Laurie Bimson, features an engraving of a stingray, the totem of the Guringai people.

On Friday, the School launched a new Knox indigenous crest which has been designed by a group of our indigenous students.

The colours represent the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, each with its own story ingrained in their creation and representation.
The stingray in the centre is a local totem for the Guringai people community of this area. The six circles inside the stingray represent the kinship groups from the area.
There are 15 figures and two inner circles in the centre of the stingray which represent people coming together, with particular focus on the number of Aboriginal students at Knox Grammar School.
Boys in the Senior School 1sts sporting teams proudly wore their jerseys featuring this unique Aboriginal artwork for the inaugural Knox Indigenous Round against Waverley College.

In 2025, Knox Grammar and Wahroonga Prep joined the Independent Schools NSW 'Respectful Relationships: Proactive Education' initiative. The program is designed to strengthen a whole-school approach to respectful relationships, helping young people develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions required to build healthy and respectful interactions throughout their lives.

Congratulations to Knox Debating on another outstanding season. Knox retained the CAS Debating Shield for Best Overall School for the sixth consecutive year and claimed the Open Firsts Trophy after an undefeated season.
