It's been a moving, enlightening and life-changing few weeks for the students who took part in our Cambodia Immersion program.
Knox Grammar School
This immersion, in partnership with Ravenswood School for Girls, provides opportunities for our students to experience the world beyond Knox and make a difference to the lives of others.

Students from Knox and Ravenswood at world heritage listed Angkor Wat

Students at Lakeside School in Phnom Penh
Travelling in three small groups over 12 days, the students volunteered their time at several community schools, saw world heritage listed Angkor Wat, learnt about Cambodian food, history and language and visited the Khmer Rouge Killing Fields.
"It's hard to explain the depth and breadth of emotions and experiences that we felt and have been told today," the students reflected after visiting the Killing Fields. "There are scarcely words to describe the sensations and wall of emotions that hit all of us."
"When we joined in with the kids, becoming their partners in learning, the feeling when they finally understood something new was incredibly fulfilling. Within all the levels there was a large diversity in ability with some kids being knowledgeable in every aspect whilst others struggled. It was inspiring to see all the kids supporting each other with their learning, whilst gaining knowledge along the way."
