Year 5 boys turned the classroom on its head during the Celebration of Learning, becoming teachers to parents and carers to showcase their learnings from the past few terms.
Focusing on the ideas developed during their studies about Australia's gold rush, as well as on their Japanese, Art and camp experiences, the boys took parents and carers on an educational journey around their different learning spaces.

Year 5 Team Leader Mr Dylan Nexhip said: "[The boys] thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to share the incredible learning experiences they have be part of over the course of the year.
"It was wonderful to witness such incredible engagement from both parents and students, with rich and deep conversation creating a real buzz in the air."
Parents and families were encouraged to expand on their learnings about identity, culture and change – a theme that is linked to the boys' studies on 'Gold Shaped Australia'. Attendees were asked to consider the following questions:
They were then asked to use the knowledge and understanding acquired during the unit to answer the question "How can you and your family honour, embrace and represent your culture and traditions?" and create a family pledge.
