The boys visited the USSRC Space and Rocket Centre in Alabama where they celebrated the 50 year anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing in July 1969.

They worked in teams on a Mars mission and competed in various challenge undertaken by students from across the world.
During the second week of the trip they travelled to Houston and visited the headquarters of NASA, the Natural Science Museum and the cell labs at the Health Museum.
The boys dissected sharks, heard from former astronauts including the inspiring Nicole Stott who was an engineer, pilot, artist and mission specialist on the International Space Station.
