In June, boys in K-2 participated in a celebration of STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The boys spent the day creating volcanoes, learning about sound waves, problem solving and making catapults!

The purpose of the day was to encourage the boys to learn about the magic of Science while collaborating and problem solving.
All boys at Knox Prep (Kindergarten to Year 6) have a weekly science lesson. For boys in K-2 this is with their classroom teacher. Boys in Years 3-6 are taught by a specialist Science teacher.
We know that STEM skills will be essential for the job seekers of the future. The Knox STEM program aims to give students exposure to a wide variety of inquiry-based STEM activities to spark an interest and develop skills in this area.
