The Olympic hopeful is a NSW Institute of Sport archer and was accompanied by NSWIS Senior Archery Co-ordinator, Mark Williams.
Branden took part in a Q&A with Mr James and fellow students during the Assembly, where he explained how he took up archery and about a scholarship he was awarded by the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program.
Through this Tier 3 scholarship, Branden has met with some of Australia's best athletes, including Ian Thorpe.
Following the presentation, Branden set up a target on Knox 1 of 70m, which is the standard competition length.
After firing a few test arrows, a balloon was placed on the target, which was quickly burst by Branden's next shot, delighting the boys as they walked to class following the Assembly.
