The competition, which involves more than 70,000 students from 743 schools, is the country’s largest student Geography competition. Students are tested on the ability to answer challenging questions covering all aspects of Geography including physical and urban geography.
Knox Year 11 student James Burns achieved first in the country and almost 100 Knox students received a high distinction.
“Geography is a really unique subject in that almost everything we do has real world applications," said James. "Knowing how parts of our environment work, such as ecosystems and the weather, and how the human world operates enhances our understanding of what’s going on around us."
