The da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of school students. Students compete in teams of eight across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics and chess, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, philosophy, creative producers, cartography and general knowledge.
Being able to meet and compete with other international schools was a real highlight,” said Year 10 student Peter Koch. “Seeing and hearing the difference in cultures was a really great experience that I think I will never forget.”
“One of the most challenging, rewarding experiences was the decathlon itself. Some of the tasks were very different to what any of the team had seen before, so it made the experience much more fun and engaging.”
