Drama
Drams at WPS is centered around performing and appreciating. The children gain experience in performing by taking on roles and creating their own pieces of live theatre. They work individually and collaboratively in small groups to perform and appreciate their own dramatic works and those of others.
Drama isn’t for everyone! For those students who have a special interest, Drama club is run to provide additional opportunities to engage and explore the elements of performing with peers who share a common interest. Drama club meets once a week and the children work on their own original performance pieces — they write choreograph and direct their own works for a concert at the end of first semester.
Previous shows have included: The Wind in the Willows (2004); Shine (2005); We Will Rock You (2006), Prep School Musical (2007) and A very GREASY, HAIRSPRAY filled HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2…at HOGWARTS (2008).
