Welcome to the WPS website. Wahroonga Preparatory School is a co-educational school of the Uniting Church and caters for children from Pre-School to Year 6. In 2006 WPS celebrated 80 years of education and in 2008 we were granted approval to continue on to Year 6 (previously finishing in Year 4).
Quality education is provided for children in an intimate environment. Teacher’s assistants are utilised to reduce teacher student ratios. Currently we have 10 students to every adult working in the school program. Progams are planned to develop the academic, physical and spiritual aspects of each child.
Wahroonga Preparatory School is unique. Over the years its close affiliation with St John’s Uniting Church and the community has encouraged many local families to send their children to this very family oriented school. WPS can now boast of family ties for up to three generations.
WPS endeavours to be an exemplary school assisting the development of children within a caring, Christian environment. The school provides quality education, catering for the individual needs and differences of all children. WPS promotes the nurturing of a love of learning and the growth of positive self-esteem. All children are extended and assisted through a variety of individualised programs.
